An oasis of modern Mediterranean cuisine

Brought to you by restaurateurs Simon Oren and Dudi Sasson, Barbounia is a chic restaurant in the heart of Gramercy, serving Mediterranean cuisine influenced by the food and cultures of Greece, Southern France, Morocco and Southern Italy.

Drawing on inspiration from their Israeli roots, Oren and Sasson, have developed Barbounia into a warm, vibrant space, where people come together to seek the pleasure of good company and exceptional food. With high ceilings, a buzzing open kitchen and stylish bar, Barbounia has become the city's top destination for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and the Jewish holidays.

In the kitchen, Executive Chef Amitzur Mor combines and redefines the different cuisines of the Mediterranean. Using fresh, seasonal and local meat, fish and produce, alongside the best imported ingredients from this beautiful region, his creative cooking is best served family style, for the table to share.

Our guest's favorite dishes include house-baked bread with mezze; our shakshukas, both classic and seasonal; taboon-baked meats and fish, and decadent desserts.
