Located in the heart of Gramercy in New York City at 20th Street and Park Avenue South, Barbounia’s atmosphere and design, which complement and attract a fashion, music and entertainment clientele, takes you off the busy streets of Manhattan and transcends you to the middle of the Mediterranean.  With a spectacular open kitchen, tall arched ceilings divided by Moorish columns, large wooden communal tables, and pillowed banquettes; you feel the magnificent energy emanating from the kitchen, staff and patrons.

The dining experience at Barbounia resembles a culinary cruise through different ports of the Mediterranean Sea.  Executive Chef Amitzur Mor combines and redefines the different cuisines of this beautiful region while using fresh seasonal and local meat, fish, product with the best imported ingredients that the Mediterranean has to offer.

Our cuisine consists of fresh homemade bread and pizzas cooked in our taboon; a succulent seasonal raw bar; delicious traditional mezze; appetizers and entrees, which emphasize sustainable grown and caught meat and seafood; and decadent homemade desserts to finish.
